July 03, 2005
We decided to put up a picture of our
new friends the Petke family (from left to right - Genie, Matthew
Isaac, and Matthew). An English professor at Liberty told Caren, through
Caren's father Dan, that his daughter and her family are moving to
Germany. When the Petke family got her they contacted us and since
then we have been able to get together many times. They are good friends
and we have a lot in common. Genie is a homemaker and Matthew works
at Ramstein in IT (Computer work).
July 02, 2005 We keep promising to update the webpage on a regular basis and yet we only manage to do so infrequently. This will change soon. Here are some updates that I've only just now managed to post.
Good Morning Everyone! Yesterday was a big day for Maire. She is learning to roll, and she also laughed for the first time yesterday! It was really funny. She was in her swing, and I played peekaboo with her by putting her book over my eyes. She laughed every time! It was great :) So here is a video John did of us. Some of you have seen it already cuz I emailed it to you, so sorry for the repeat. But like I said, its really cute. You may just want to watch it again :) -Caren Check out some Cool Pics Click Here June 25, 2005 Hello Everyone! Yes, its me, Caren. This
is my first time updating the website...hopefully it wont be my last
:) Alot of things have happened since we last wrote. Name: Maire Michelle Lorraine Story She was quite a bit smaller than Katy
was; I was grateful for that :) Katy likes having a baby sister, but
at times (like today) she gets jealous of Maire sitting in my lap
alot. When that happens, any chance Katy gets, she wants in my lap.

April 30, 2005 It's hard to believe that it's been four
months since we've updated the site. Not having an Internet connection
has slowed us down. Since the last update a lot has happened. Maire
(pronounced My-Ra) was born, Winter has come and gone, family and
friends have come to visit, and in six days John will have reached
the half way mark in his enlistment.
Now for a shameless plug: if you haven't
seen the tv show lost you're really missing out. I have included a
link to the Amazon link
It has been a rough couple of weeks for
the Story family. John is trying to finish up his first class for
his Masters, he's been pretty stressed with work, we're moving, and
recently we've all had the flu, oh and Caren is still pregnant. The
good thing is that we're moving into our house today. You can see
a nice picture of it above. The bad news is that we will not have
a fast internet connection there. There will be updates in the near
future though. I promise to be better about this sort of thing. Back
to the house thing, we love it. We have an office for once and we
have a garden again! The landlords and their family (five kids ranging
6-26) are all very nice.
I thought that I may need to update the
old website. It's been some time since I've done so. John has started
his Masters degree through American Military University. Caren is
entering her third trimester and she has started through Liberty University
again. She is taking two classes and taking care of Katy at the same
time. We will be spending the holidays in Germany this year so expect
to see some exciting updates in the near future. God has been good
to us. Katy is growing like a weed, George Bush - thank God- won the
election, many of our friends and family members have gotten over
some major health issues, and Rich (John's brother) will be visiting
us for Thanksgiving. I have added a clip of Katy's new found ability
to play the harmonica. August 20,2004 It's been a while since our last update. Since then we bought a new mini-van, Caren and Kate went to a wedding (our friends Wes and Laura) back in VA, Caren's brother Andrew came out to stay with us for a month, in early August Caren's mom and dad met up with us for a week, Caren's dad took Andrew back to VA, I went to Alaska on emergancy leave, and Caren, Katy, and Grandma Henrich went to Denmark and Sweden. I've been in Alaska for over two weeks to be with my parents as Harry went through heart surgery. He is doing well now and I will be going home soon. My brother Rich came out as well. We did get to climb to the top of Exit glacier. More pictures will follow soon, I promise
For now here is a gallery of some Alaska Pictures. Click Here
